About this event

Draw your self own portrait

Prepare to look inward on a creative and rewarding journey with Draw Your Own Portrait, a live online event that invites you to explore the art of self-portraiture in a relaxed and supportive setting.

In this engaging online session, artist and author Jake Spicer guides you through the process of drawing your own portrait, from the first simple lines to capturing character, expression, and proportion. Designed for beginners and the simply curious, the event focuses on observation, confidence, and enjoyment rather than artistic perfection.

Discover how artists have used self-portraiture for centuries as a powerful tool for expression and self-reflection, and learn practical techniques that make drawing the human face approachable and fun. You will explore how light, shape, and line work together, and how small adjustments can dramatically change a likeness.

A friendly, step by step experience that goes beyond simply drawing, Draw Your Own Portrait offers a rare opportunity to slow down, focus, and see yourself in a new way, all from the comfort of your own home.

Please make sure you have a selection of pencils, a mirror and a large sketch pad for this event on the night.

Boundless members stay tuned until the end of the night to be in with a chance of winning a goodie!
