In this engaging online session, artist and author Jake Spicer guides you through the process of drawing your own portrait, from the first simple lines to capturing character, expression, and proportion. Designed for beginners and the simply curious, the event focuses on observation, confidence, and enjoyment rather than artistic perfection.

Meet the speaker - Jake Spicer
Jake Spicer is an author, artist and drawing tutored based in North Wales. He is founding tutor head of the independent drawing school Draw Brighton, a co-director of the Drawing Circus and an artist-ambassador for Derwent Pencils. Jake has published a series of best-selling books aimed at making drawing accessible to everybody and has taught drawing at a range of institution, including the National Portrait Gallery, The V&A Museum, Walker Gallery and Watts Gallery.
