CMS Manager

Location: Britannia House, Brighton

Contract: Fixed-term 12 months

Working hours: Full time, 34.5 hrs per week (Flexible hybrid workplace)

We’re looking for a highly organised and technically minded CMS Manager to oversee our websites and app content, ensuring it’s accurate, timely, and aligned with our brand and business goals. You’ll also play a leading role in our upcoming CMS migration project, working with internal teams and external agencies to help transition from a monolithic to a headless CMS.

What’s involved?

Purpose of the role

As CMS Manager, you’ll act as the content and publishing gatekeeper for our websites and app, managing all approved content and technical changes. You’ll ensure pages are published to a high standard and that all existing content remains current, accurate and accessible.

You’ll work closely with developers, editors, UX teams and stakeholders across the business to manage content delivery, oversee change control, and support our CMS users. You’ll also lead content-related testing and help ensure the overall performance, structure and compliance of our digital platforms.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong CMS knowledge, a collaborative mindset, and a knack for keeping things running smoothly across digital channels.

Main responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain our legacy CMS, ensuring content is accurate and systems meet business needs
  • Lead the deployment and phased migration to a new headless CMS, working with internal teams and external partners
  • Act as content and publishing gatekeeper for websites and app, maintaining standards for accuracy, accessibility, and performance
  • Run regular content audits and support technical SEO and compliance (e.g., cookie standards)
  • Manage the change control process for all platform updates and deployments
  • Test and validate new functionality, including regression testing key user journeys
  • Develop and maintain best practice policies and user guides for CMS usage
  • Deliver training and support to internal teams, acting as the subject matter expert on CMS tools and workflows
  • Provide first-line support for digital content and CMS issues, escalating as needed

What will make you successful?

You will have

  • Highly organised and self-motivated with excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Experience with one or more CMS platforms (e.g. Sitecore, WordPress, Storyblok)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Analytical and detail-focused, with the ability to spot content or structural issues
  • Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and follows through
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced digital environment with shifting priorities
  • Understanding of composable architecture or experience working in a membership or benefits-based organisation is a bonus
