About Car Care Plan - Warranty

Keep your motoring costs down with Car Warranty and protect your vehicle from a wide range of mechanical or electrical faults. Car Care Plan offer exclusive warranty for Boundless members at a competitive price, helping you to protect your pocket from unexpected and unwanted mechanical and electrical costs.

Cover options:

  • Warranty 5 – covers cars up to 5 years old or with 60,000 miles. Claim up to the value of your car. Extensive parts coverage.
  • Warranty 10 – covers cars up to 10 years old or with 100,000 miles, £2,000 claim limit per claim. Named component coverage.

Q

What’s covered? (under any of the levels)

A

Car Care Plan (CCP) Car Warranty covers parts and labour in the event of a mechanical or electrical failure of the components up to the claims limits outlined in the Policy Document. The Warranty covers components on an eligible car for failure in the UK or mainland Europe.

Q

What if I sell my car?

A

If you decide to sell your car privately, you can transfer the Warranty to the new owner, providing your policy is fully-paid

Q

What if I’ve modified my car?

A

Unfortunately, CCP can't cover cars that are modified from their original manufacturer specification.

Q

Can I get warranty cover for a company car?

A

No. CCP Warranty is available for any eligible privately registered car.

Q

How can I renew my cover?

A

Car Care Plan will write to you before your cover expires, explaining how you can extend your protection further. If you wish to extend your cover for a further 12 months, you will need to apply for a new policy either online, by phone (single payments only) or request an application pack. Visit the Car Care Plan website to receive a 10% online discount by applying online or call Car Care Plan on 0344 573 8021.

What if I change my mind?

A

If you change your mind, you've got a 14-day cooling-off period during which we'll make a full refund if you haven't made a claim. Please call us on 0344 573 8021 and speak to our customer services team.

Can I transfer my warranty?

A

Yes, you can transfer your Warranty if your policy is fully-paid. If you sell your car privately, you can transfer the warranty to the new owner by completing the Transfer of Ownership Form at the back of the Policy Document.

Is it OK if my car has been out of warranty?

A

Yes - you can buy a warranty if your car is currently outside of a manufacturer or dealer warranty period.

Q

How soon can I make a valid claim?

A

You can make a valid claim as soon as your policy is registered with us - there's no waiting period before a claim can be made, although we can't cover existing faults with your car.

What’s not covered? (under any of the levels)

A

A CCP Warranty provides a high level of cover, but unfortunately CCP can't cover consumable items such as brake pads or discs, tyres, oils & fluids. These items are designed to wear and will need replacing with time. CCP can't cover existing faults with your car. You should have these faults fixed by a repairer before buying a CCP Car Warranty. CCP are also unable to cover any items which have been modified from the manufacturer's standard specification.

What if my car is an import?

A

Unfortunately, if your car is an import (not a UK-specification model originally purchased from a UK dealer by its first owner), CCP can’t cover it on Boundless Car Warranty.

Can I get warranty cover for my van or motorbike?

A

Sorry, CCP can't cover motorbikes or vans at the moment, but we're working on it.

Q

What if I already have a warranty through my manufacturer or dealer?

A

You can still buy a Warranty for a car covered by a manufacturer or dealer warranty, but you should check carefully that you're not buying the same cover again.
