Marketing Executive (Fixed term)
Location: Hybrid (Brighton)
Contract: 6-months contract
Working hours: Full time 34.5 hrs per week (Flexible hybrid workplace)
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Marketing Executive to join our Marketing – Member Value team on a 6-month fixed term contract. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working across multiple campaigns and channels, supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day marketing activity.
You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging member communications and campaigns that drive engagement, retention, and revenue, contributing directly to the growth of lifetime member value.

Purpose of the role
The purpose of this role is to support the planning, delivery, and optimisation of multi-channel marketing campaigns that enhance member engagement and value. Working closely with the wider marketing team and key stakeholders, you’ll help bring campaigns to life across digital and offline channels while ensuring communications are targeted, on-brand, and compliant.
Main responsibilities
- Plan, brief, and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns across email, digital, push notifications, social media, print, and post.
- Work with senior marketing colleagues to define campaign objectives, target audiences, messaging, and success metrics aligned to business goals.
- Collaborate with partnerships, events, leisure, community, and content teams to source and curate compelling offers and seasonal content.
- Use audience segmentation, membership data, and insights to refine targeting and optimise campaign performance.
- Create high-quality copy and content tailored to different audiences, channels, and campaign objectives.
- Manage and update content on member-only digital platforms using CMS tools.
- Build, segment, and deliver email campaigns using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing, supporting wider teams where required.
- Track campaign performance, analyse results, and recommend improvements using agreed KPIs.
- Ensure all marketing activity aligns with brand guidelines and complies with GDPR, PECR, ASA, and FCA requirements.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams to ensure consistent and effective member communications.
Secondary accountabilities:
- Contribute and support wider Member Value team projects and initiatives.
- Assist in the testing and adoption of new marketing tools, platforms, and technologies to improve campaign performance.
- Support the development of marketing templates, processes, and best practice guides for the team.
- Assist with competitor and market research to inform future campaign strategy.
- Support the reporting of marketing activity to wider business stakeholders, including preparing summary decks and visual dashboards.
- Assist with member surveys and feedback initiatives to capture insights for campaign improvement.
- Participate in industry networking events, webinars, or training sessions and share learnings with the team.
- Support wider Member Value projects, reporting, research, surveys, and the development of marketing best practices.
What will make you successful?
You will have:
- Graduate qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field and/or a Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM) qualification.
- 2–4 years’ experience delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels
- Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and formats
- Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms and CRM systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Marketing)
- Experience building and segmenting marketing audiences, with a good understanding of targeting principles
- Confident using CMS platforms to manage and update digital content
- Strong analytical skills, with experience tracking campaign performance against KPIs
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines
- Knowledge of GDPR, PECR, ASA and FCA requirements relating to marketing communications
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally
Desirable
- Experience in membership-based, loyalty, or retention-focused marketing
- Experience creating seasonal, event-led, or offer-based campaign content
- Experience working with partnerships or co-branded marketing campaigns
- Understanding of customer lifetime value and member retention strategies
- Experience with push notifications or mobile engagement marketing
- Relevant marketing qualification (degree, CIM, or IDM)
