8.15am to 6.30pm, Saturday 6 October 2018
Classic Vehicle Group is again pleased to offer a MIDLANDS run, a leisurely Saturday run through some of the more interesting roads and byways of the Severn and Teme river valleys which is approximately 120 miles long and without stops will take around 4 hours to drive.
The start is at the Mayfly café, The Cob House Country Park near the village of Martley in the beautiful county of Worcestershire which is able to offer us a wide variety of essential pre run refreshments. https://www.cobhouse.org/mayfly-cafe/main-menu/
An interesting tour with no need to rush, just enjoy the countryside and get to know fellow enthusiasts. The start will be from 10:00am with an easy to follow “Tulip” road book, a rally plate is also provided.
Our route will take us from Worcestershire into Shropshire and on to Powys for a visit to Powis Castle where there will be ample time to browse the castle and gardens and partake in some refreshments. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/powis-castle-and-garden
You will then return via a different route to the Holt Fleet inn on the banks of the river Severn http://www.theholtfleet.co.uk/ where a table is booked for a group dinner before you make your way home.
A number of B&B rooms are available locally for those who wish to make it a leisurely weekend and stay Friday and/or Saturday night.
