Join the Leeds Group for an insightful talk about the life of the famous musician Cole Porter.
The talk will be held by Roger Browne - a professional raconteur, writer, director and pianist. He is President of Stockport Operatic Society, President of Manchester Athenaeum Dramatic Society and pianist with, and leader of, internationally renowned Manchester Jazz. He has appeared in jazz clubs and jazz festivals all over the world.
He will be talking about Cole Porter’s huge inherited wealth, his extravagant and at times shocking lifestyle, but mostly his wonderful lyrics and timeless music.
We meet at 8pm in the York Suite.
