About the Event

7.30pm to 10.30pm, Tuesday 9 September 2025

Join the North East London Group for our September Club Night, where we’ll be holding a talk by Phil McKinder with audience participation.

'Corpus Delecti' is a principle that a crime must be proven to have occurred before someone can be convicted of committing it. This ensures that any crime is substantiated by evidence not solely by confession. This principle will be illustrated by a murder trial where you will be once again be summoned to be jurors and decide the fate of the accused.

A similar talk has already been given to us by Phil in the extraordinary 1931 murder case in Liverpool where William Wallace was tried for the murder of his wife.

All welcome!
