For the last three years we have had a presence at the Harrowbeer 40s Weekend at Yelverton.
They were so well-received that we’re putting on the same again with free tea and coffee and either a bacon bap or veggie option at midday.
This year the event will be on Sunday 23 August from 10:00. Come along with your family and join the fun!
If you would like the bap, then you’ll need to let us know in advance and bring your Boundless membership card with you on the day as the free refreshments are for members and their guests only.
The site of the old airfield is just to the north of Plymouth at Yelverton on the Tavistock road. No problem with parking - just follow the signs and marshals directions.
There will be displays of military vehicles, veteran and classic cars, a static Rolls Royce Merlin engine - as used in the Spitfire and Lancaster aircraft - and re-enactment groups of British, American and German forces as well as period entertainment. Plus, there will be numerous stalls which all add to the 1940s ambiance.
