Member spotlight - Bernard Ward

As soon as he discovered that Boundless shared his passion for motorsport, Bernard Ward became a member. He joined in 1976 and he’s never looked back.

‘Rallying is what led me to Boundless,’ he says. ‘Joining the CSMA, as it was known back then, meant that I could easily take part in rallies all around the country, and that’s still the case now.’

‘Rallying kept me renewing my membership and, a few years later, I started to help organise our annual night rally before taking on the role of group secretary. After returning from a stint working in Africa, the group needed a new chairman – I took over in 2000 and have held the post ever since.’

Need to know a bit more?

Boundless is a membership club for working and retired public sector and civil service employees. Delivering amazing experiences and unforgettable days out for all the family. Membership offers great value for money, from free entry to some of the UK's best attractions up to 20% off at Boundless-owned holiday properties.

Who is eligible to join Boundless

Anyone who is working in the public sector or civil service. This includes teachers, civil servants, local-government workers and members of the armed forces, fire service, NHS and police.

Anyone who is retired from the public sector or civil service.

Anyone who is related to an existing member.

Why is it so cheap?

Boundless membership delivers amazing experiences and unforgettable days out for all the family at a price you won’t find anywhere else.

As one of the leading membership clubs in the UK, our mission is to provide outstanding value to people working in the public sector and civil service, so that they can get great deals, experience new things and save money along the way.

Our members are the ones who help shape our club now and for the future. We’re also owned by our members. This means every penny that Boundless makes goes straight back into the club, allowing us to provide outstanding member benefits and services at a price you’ll find hard to beat.

Can I recommend my friends and family?

Yes. For every person who joins following your recommendation we’ll send you a £10 Love2shop e-voucher as a thank you. Just log into your online account, where you’ll find your unique recommendation link to share with your friends and family.

Alternatively, your friend can call Member Services free on 0800 669944, quoting your membership number or email address, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Remember Boundless is exclusive, this means that recommended friends and family members must be eligible to join Boundless. Click here find out who can join.

Phone lines are open Monday to Saturday, 9am – 5pm

Why are public sector workers now allowed to join?

Membership was opened up to the public sector in 2014, when we started to welcome police and education workers into the club. The lines between the civil service and public sector are becoming increasingly blurred so, as a club whose purpose it is to provide for those who support society, it was a natural progression to extend our eligibility.

Can I pay for Boundless membership on behalf of a friend or family member?

To improve member security, we have updated our payment providers. This means that we can no longer process memberships with a different billing address. Members who have been affected will have received written confirmation of this change. If you have any further queries, please call Member Services on 0800 669944. Phone lines are open Monday to Saturday, 9am – 5pm

How do I renew my membership?

It’s easy. We’ll send you a reminder with details about how to renew your membership 30 days before it’s due to expire. After this date, can either renew within your online account in the ‘fees and renewal’ section or over the phone by calling member services free on 0800 669944. Phone lines are open Monday to Saturday, 9am – 5pm
