The 2026 Boundless Photography Competition

Whether you’re a keen photographer or love capturing moments on your phone, we’d love to see your best shots. Dig out your favourites or take something new and enter for your chance to win.

There are fantastic prizes to be won across five categories, plus a Member Choice award and a new Young Photographer category to get the whole family involved.

After the competition closes, members can vote for their favourite entry in the Member Choice award, while our expert judges select the category and overall winners.

Winners will be announced in the Autumn issue of Boundless magazine.

The competition submission window closes at midnight on 30 June 2026.

Competition Categories

You’re welcome to enter photos into any or all our five categories, with up to 10 photos in total per participant. Photographs must be minimum resolution of a standard 6”x4” image size is 300dpi.

Nature and Landscapes

The wow scenery on your doorstep or that epic holiday snap of a sunset. Think of rolling hills, dramatic coastlines, or your favourite local gem.

Examples: Sweeping landscapes, sunsets, mountains, forests, seascapes, countryside scenes.

All Animals

From your furry best friend to the biggest mammals around, birds, bugs, and everything in between.

Examples: Pets at play, wildlife in action, birds in flight, insects in macro, zoo photography.

Structures and Architecture

From stunning buildings to hidden alcoves, capture the beauty of the built environment – modern marvels or historic gems.

Examples: City skylines, bridges, ancient monuments, modern architecture, interior architectural details.

Portraits and People

Capturing an expression or personality in one shot – candid or posed, solo or in a crowd.

Examples: Candid Street portraits, family snapshots, posed studio portraits, people at work or play.

Everyday Moments

Finding beauty in the everyday – seasonal blooms on your walk or a cuppa with the world passing in the background. Share those macro moments that tell a story.

Examples: A cup of tea on a windowsill with rain outside, children playing in autumn leaves, a commuter’s morning routine, close-ups of daily life details.

Young Photographer

Open to photographers aged 17 and under, this category has no theme restrictions. Whether it’s nature, people, places, or something completely unique, we want to see the world through your lens.

Competition Prizes

Main Competition:

Overall competition winner will be taking home an impressive £500 voucher to put towards your next photography purchase

Three winners will be chosen for each of the five main categories.

  • 1st place: £100 voucher
  • 2nd place: £50 voucher
  • 3rd place: £25 voucher

Member Choice:

Once the competition closes, members will have two weeks to vote for their favourite submission. The entry with the most votes will win a £100 voucher.

Young Photographer:

To get the whole family involved, we’ve introduced a dedicated Young Photographer category for anyone under 18 years old.

  • Overall winner: £100 voucher + bundle of goodies
  • Runner up: £50 voucher + bundle of goodies

All winners will be contacted directly before the big announcement in the Autumn issue of Boundless magazine.

How to Enter

Entering the Boundless Photography Competition is simple:

  1. Choose up to 10 of your best photos ensuring they fit the categories and image specification.
  2. Submit them to any category (or spread them across several).
  3. Upload each image with your details, title and short description.

Make sure your entries are submitted before midnight on 30 June 2026.
