Find your way
Words from Gerard O’Sullivan, Association Chair
Living in Scotland, I find that spring always brings a restless energy to get outdoors. For me, ‘finding my way’ often starts with a spirited drive into the mountains, using my car as the perfect tool to reach remote trailheads that feel a world away from the daily grind. There’s a particular satisfaction in navigating the A82 through Glencoe as the mist lifts; the drive itself is the first stage of the adventure.
That sense of discovery is at the heart of this issue as we celebrate the centenary of Route 66. While the ‘mother road’ is an American icon, we’ve set out to find that same soul-stirring spirit closer to home.
Beyond the open road, we explore the UK’s best motor museums for a nostalgic day out and visit the Cotswold Motoring Museum to ‘meet’ three truly unique vehicles.
Of course, finding your way isn’t limited to the mountains or the road. Whether it’s a new hobby or a fresh start in the garden, this issue is packed with inspiration to help you find what matters most this season.
I hope these pages inspire you to turn the key, embrace the journey and see where the road takes you.
