One of the best things about spring is seeing all the tulips come out – and you certainly don’t need to go all the way to Amsterdam to witness these fabulous flowers at their breathtaking best.
Much closer to home is the Hampton Court Palace Tulip Festival (from 11 April), an annual event that sees thousands of these beautiful blooms spread across the palace’s gardens, bringing fragrant splendour at every turn.

Even in spring, there’s no guarantee of good weather here in the UK. If the heavens do decide to open, a visit to the cinema is a great way to while away a few hours – and, happily, there are some great films coming to a big screen near you in April.
For an Easter holiday treat, why not take the kids to see new blockbuster The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (showing from 1 April), which stars Chris Pratt as the titular Nintendo hero, and Jack Black as his arch-nemesis, Bowser.
If you’re planning a date night, you’re spoilt for choice, with unexploded-bomb thriller Fuze (from 3 April), Scottish rap comedy California Schemin’ (from 10 April) and supernatural chiller Lee Cronin’s The Mummy (from 17 April) all on the horizon.
Or, if you just fancy tapping your toes to some musical mega-hits, grab your tickets for Michael, the long-awaited Jackson biopic, on 24 April.
Boundless offer: Members get up to 37% off movie tickets, snacks and drinks when ordering via The Cinema Society.

One of the best things about Easter is tucking into chocolate eggs - and these sumptuous treats taste a whole lot sweeter if you have to search for them first! There are lots of Easter egg hunts happening across National Trust for Scotland places in April and you can join in for just £5 per trail sheet, then enjoy unlimited access to the rest of the property with your Boundless Plus membership.
One of our favourite Easter egg trails is at Crathes Castle, Garden and Estate (3-6 April this year). Set against a backdrop of rolling hills, and surrounded by majestic gardens and wildlife trails, this 16th- century fortress is one of Scotland's most treasured visitor attractions. Already a great day out for the whole family, it's even more enticing when there are chocolate eggs involved!

They say that if you remember the Sixties and Seventies, you weren’t actually there. Well, whether or not you recall the extraordinary clothes from that era, you can now admire some of the most stunning garments at The Biba Story: 1964-1975 (at Edinburgh’s Dovecot Studios until 27 June).
Barbara Hulanicki’s designs were hugely popular among London fashionistas during that period, with everyone from Mick Jagger to Twiggy being seen in them. And as you browse over 100 rare items, from shimmering dresses to sequinned jackets, you’ll get an idea of why these spectacular styles became so sought-after by the capital’s cool kids.
With Boundless Plus members able to get money off entry fees for this and many other exhibitions via the National Art Pass, you can satiate your passion for fashion while keeping costs down.
Boundless offer: Boundless Plus get a membership to Art Fund’s National Art Pass, which will get you free entry to over 200 galleries, museums and historic houses, as well as 50% off major exhibitions including The Biba Story: 1964-1975.
