Break Itinerary:
Day 1 - Monday 15 September 2025: PORTSMOUTH /CAEN-OUISTREHAM
Check-in at Portsmouth ferry terminal at 07 h 00. Departure from Portsmouth at 08 h 00 arriving in Caen-Ouistreham at 15 h 00. Followed disembarkation. Group pick-up at the ferry terminal by coach and transfer to your 3-star hotel in Caen city centre.
Settle in and free time to discover Caen at your leisure. The city's emblematic sites are: the two abbeys, symbols of the love story between William and Matilda and the jewels of Norman Romanesque and the castle, one of the largest fortified enclosures in Europe. You can also admire mansions, discreet courtyards, the marina and the racecourse.
Day 2 - Tuesday 16 September 2025 : ARROMANCHE D DAY BEACHES
Breakfast at the hotel. By coach, you start your day exploring Sword Beach with your onsite guide. This is one of the five emblematic beaches of the D-Day landings, where 177 French soldiers of The Kieffer Commando landed. Continue on to the British cemetery at Hermanville sur Mer, where 1,005 Allied soldiers are buried at the British cemetery. Most of the soldiers died on 6 June or in the days following the D-Day. Lunch provided at the restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit of the Arromanches Museum. The first museum created on this theme in The aftermath of the construction of the Mulberry B artificial harbour, the remains of which can still be seen outside the museum. The day ends with a free visit to the Hillman site. This 24-hectare site, with 18 casemates and underground built by the Germans between 1942 and 1944, was the command post for the coastal defences of the “Côte de Nacre”. At the end of the day, return to your hotel, dinner at your leisure and overnight, stay at the hotel.
Day 3 - Wednesday 17 September 2025 : CAEN-OUISTREHAM / PORTSMOUTH
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from the hotel to the Caen Memorial by coach. The museum brings to life the history of the 20th Century, from the origins of the Second World War to the end of the Cold War. A large area devoted to the D-Day Landings and the Battle of Normandy. Lunch provided on site.
In the afternoon, the coach will drive you to Caen-Ouistreham Ferry Terminal. Check-in at 15 h 00. Departure at 16 h 30. Arriving in Portsmouth at 21 h 15 for disembarkation.
Included in this break is two nights bed and breakfast. Return ferry crossings as a foot passenger and transfers by coach during your stay. Excursions and admission tickets as well as an English-speaking guide during your visits. Lunch is provided on day two and three. This will consist of 3-courses meal, glass of wine and a coffee. The break does not include dinner or optional cabin upgrades.

£425 per person based on two sharing a double or twin room.
Supplement for a single room is £122 per person for two nights.
