About the event
Thursday 17 July to Monday 21 July 2025
Join the Motorcycle Group on a tour to the beautiful Ardennes region of Belgium, taking in the iconic Chimay Classic Motorcycle Race Meeting.
We’ve visited this region many times, often drawn by the legendary Chimay Classic races. Attending the races is optional as members are free to enjoy the beautiful Ardennes countryside and explore the charming towns of southern Belgium and northern France at their own pace.
For those who do choose to take in the racing, there's still ample opportunity to enjoy peaceful rural drives, visit local landmarks, and discover hidden gems in the surrounding area.
The Chimay Classic is held on a traditional road circuit reminiscent of those in Ireland, offering spectators an up-close and exhilarating view of the action. Practice sessions run all day Friday and Saturday morning, with racing kicking off Saturday afternoon and continuing through Sunday. Full access to the paddock and pit areas allows for a more immersive and memorable motorsport experience.
We will be staying at the Ibis Hotel in Fourmies, France—just across the Belgian border and a short ride from the Chimay circuit. The hotel has 30 rooms, and members should book directly via the hotel’s website for their preferred dates.
Breakfast is available on-site, with a restaurant next door for evening meals. Additional dining options can be found in the nearby town centre.
Fourmies is an easy day’s ride from Calais. Members are welcome to stay the full five nights or tailor their stay to fit their plans.
Access to the races' advance tickets can be found at the Chimay website.
Channel Crossing costs not included.
