The Case of the Crooked Jeweller. Whodunnit!
In the quaint town of Howden, near Goole, a scandal has rocked the community. The body of dodgy jeweller, Fay Kemralds, has been found slumped in her shop. She had recently lowered the tone in the town of Howden, by smuggling in cheap imitation jewels and selling them as genuine. This has angered the local traders who are decent, honest people and are extremely proud of their village. Police are treating Fay's demise as suspicious and suspect her assailant to be one of her dissatisfied customers. The detective leading the investigation, Willie Solvit, has called for YOU, to be the Senior Investigating Officers. He needs you to solve the Clues to find out who committed this crime, and which piece of evidence will link them to the scene.
The Trail begins in the Market Place, taking you through the charming town of Howden. Along the way, you'll pass quaint shops, historic buildings, and even the Bishop's Manor House. Take a stroll through Ashes Playing Fields and admire the stunning Minster with its famous chancel ruins.
The trail is approximately 1.5 miles long and should take you about 2 hours to complete.
We will meet from 11am onwards in the Market Place (DN14 7BJ). There are several car parks in the area and on street parking which is free for two hours
This is a free event, but please contact me to let me know if you would like to join in the trail, so I can print enough copies of the trail.
