Watercress Line Evening Steam Run

Farnborough and Guildford Group

About the event

6.45pm to 9.30pm, Thursday 13 June

The Farnborough and Guildford Group are inviting you to an Evening Run on The Watercress Line Steam Railway in Hampshire.

These types of runs do not happen often. Hopefully we will have a lovely summers evening to enjoy the countryside. The train departs Alresford Station at 19.30.

There is parking at the station - free I believe in the evenings. Prior to departure, the Railway Station buffet will be open to serve drinks and refreshments and the Railway shop will be open.

Please arrive in good time. The train will travel to Alton - 10 miles and then return around 21.30. There will be a run past at Ropley where the train will speed through the station whilst we watch from the platform.

Also, there will be 6 footplate rides based on a lucky ticket number draw. There will be refreshments at Alton as well as a small shop being open. Always an enjoyable evening.

Price

Cost £7.50 each (cash ideally) - all proceeds go to Railway projects.
