How do I book a hotel break?A
There are many ways of finding the right hotel for you. On the search form on most pages, you can enter the destination or hotel name you want to stay in and enter other hotel search criteria such as date of stay and number of guests. Alternatively, you can use the site search in the top right hand area of the site to search for a specific hotel or location to find out more. There are also pages listed within the right hand navigation for each geographical region we sell hotels in.
After you’ve entered your search criteria, you will be returned a search results page listing all available hotels that meet your search request. On this search results page, you can re-sort and refine the available hotels to find the best hotel for you. To view more details about the hotel such as more pictures, hotel information, facilities and reviews, click on the hotel name.
To book a room, simply select how many and what room type you require and click the Select and Continue button to proceed to the Review & Add page. From this page, you can add optional extras, which may include tours & tickets, rail journeys, insurance and meals depending upon the hotel you chose, and select how you wish to pay.

What confirmation will I receive after making my hotel break booking?A
You will receive a confirmation email as soon as your booking is complete. Backup documentation and your invoice will be forwarded by post. If you receive the backup documentation before you travel please take the invoice with you.
Alternatively a copy of the confirmation email will suffice to show on arrival. Where extras have been bought from us, such as rail travel, theatre or attraction tickets, these will be despatched from their office unless stated otherwise.
All hotels have a star rating, what do these signify?A
Super Break star ratings are given as a guide to help you choose between our hotels and do not necessarily relate to those awarded by other organisations. They symbolise the level of service and range of facilities that you can expect at the property; ranging from 1 star - hotels with the simplest range of facilities, to five stars - luxury hotels with a wider range of facilities. Please note that different countries have different standards and star ratings may differ according to the country the hotel is located.
What type of hotels do you offer?A
We specialise in booking 2-star to 5-star hotel accommodation throughout the UK, Europe and beyond. We also offer a large selection of apartments in many beach resorts. We hold allocations of rooms at all hotels and apartments and we can book up to and including the day of departure online and in the call centre.
What's included in the price of a hotel break?A
All prices on the hotel search results page are per adult. A complete price breakdown will be shown when you have selected your room type and moved on to the next page, before you complete your booking. All prices include service and VAT. We don’t charge any credit card or booking fees so the price you see on the Review & Add page is your final price.
Why can I not see the name of a Mystery Hotel?A
The name of a mystery hotel is revealed once a booking is made. Full details of the hotel including address and telephone number can be found on your email confirmation. Because of the fantastic prices, some of the Mystery Hotels are non-refundable, this will be included in the name e.g. 4* Mystery Non-Refundable Hotel, London.
What room types are available?A
Most hotels offer single, double (i.e. 1 double bed) and twin (2 single beds) bedrooms. Family rooms for three or four are generally available and these are normally either twin or double rooms with extra child or sofa beds. It is rare for hotels to offer rooms to accommodate either 3 or 4 adults. Apartment descriptions are given against each individual entry. Wheelchair and accessible rooms and rooms with infants are always on a request basis and cannot be guaranteed when booking online. If you require an adapted room or one with a cot call their Reservations Team on 01904 436 002 and quote BOUND (calls charged at standard rates) to make your booking.
Why do I pay more for a single room?A
Rates for single occupancy tend to reflect rates that accommodation providers consider competitive. They often do not relate to the price that 2 people would pay to share a room. Please note, particularly in the UK, that most hotels will allocate a single room with a single bed although some do allocate larger rooms for the same rate.
What if I need to change my hotel break reservation?A
Any amends or cancellations must be done via Super Break, not the hotel directly.
Amendments: If you are wanting to amend your booking, you must do this via our call centre. Either email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01904 436 002 and quote BOUND (calls charged at standard rates) quoting your booking reference number. Please note that administration charges apply when you amend your booking. This charge is £15 per amendment (unless it is to increase the value of the booking) and will be payable together with any costs incurred by ourselves and any costs or charges incurred or imposed by any of our suppliers.
Cancellations: If you need to cancel your booking, you must do this via our call centre. Either email email@example.com or telephone 01904 436 002 and quote BOUND (calls charged at standard rates) quoting your booking reference number. Please note that cancellation charges apply. These charges vary depending upon the product type you have booked. For further details see our Privacy and Terms page for our cancellation terms and conditions.
Cancellations or amendments within 48 hours of arrival can only be accepted by telephone.
What age is classed as a child?A
In the UK most child policies apply to children aged 15 and under but in other countries the child ages may vary. Please note that when booking with us, you should enter their age at time of travel, not at time of booking.
How much do I pay for child hotel accommodation?A
Normally children are free if sharing with 2 adults. There are some exceptions to this and these will show in the price when you make your room selection and move on to the pricing page. Meals are not included for 'free' children and these must be paid for at the accommodation. Please take careful note of the child age that applies to each accommodation as child ages can vary. The hotels have the right to request evidence of child ages on arrival.
Do you charge for an infant on a booking?A
Children aged under 1 (<1) or 1 are classed as infants and are not charged - however, as such, they will not be allocated a bed. If a bed is required for the infant, select age 2 instead of <1 or 1. Some hotels count infants as part of room occupancy or do not provide cots. To make a booking that includes an infant please call Reservations on 01904 436 002 and quote BOUND (calls charged at standard rates).
Can I book hotel breaks at short notice?A
You can only book online up to the day before the stay date. For same-day bookings, please call us on 01904 436 002 and quote BOUND (calls charged at standard rates).
Do I pay a booking fee for hotel breaks?A
No - we also guarantee not to change the price after your booking has been confirmed.
I can’t find any availability for the date I want to go, what can I do?A
There are various reasons why a hotel may not be returned as available - the hotel may be sold out of rooms that can accommodate you, it may have restrictions on the number of nights you can stay or you may only be able to check in on a certain day. When alternatives are available, our website does offer them, however if you really want the hotel in question, our call centre staff can call the hotel to see whether we can get availability for your booking. Please call 01904 436 002 and quote BOUND (calls charged at standard rates) and our call centre staff will do their best to meet your requirements.
What facilities are available at the hotel?A
When you view the hotel information you will see a box listing all the facilities at your chosen hotel. If you are looking for a specific facility such as an indoor swimming pool or gym you can filter your search results to only select hotels with certain facilities.
What if I need special facilities during my stay?A
If you have any special requirements please contact our Reservations Team to make your booking on 01904 436 002 and quote BOUND (calls charged at standard rates) or email firstname.lastname@example.org before making a booking.
What time can I check in and out of my hotel?A
Check-in time is normally after 15:00 hours and check-out in most hotels is 11:00 hours, but will be confirmed on arrival. All Super Break bookings are guaranteed for late arrival.
What if I am arriving late at the hotel?A
Your booking is guaranteed for late arrival but we recommend calling the accommodation if you are going to be very late. At some smaller properties you may have the owner waiting up for you! The contact telephone number is displayed on your booking confirmation.
Can I add extras onto my booking?A
When you book a hotel there is the chance to add optional extras. These include tours & tickets, rail journeys, insurance and meals. Not all extras are available with every hotel.
Can I add insurance onto my booking?A
Yes, Super Break provides insurance for both UK and overseas bookings. The travel insurance is underwritten by Optimum Underwriting Limited who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. This can be purchased at time of booking or added within 48 hours of booking confirmation, providing travel has not already commenced. As our theatre and events packages are non-refundable we recommend our UK Travel insurance on all of our UK breaks.
Can I make a group booking?A
We have a dedicated groups department who can make reservations for any group of more than 10 adults or 5 rooms. From special celebrations to activity weekends, you can either use our enquiry form or call our Groups Department on 01904 420 454 (calls charged at standard rates). If your group is less than 10 adults please contact our reservations team on 01904 436 002 and quote BOUND (calls charged at standard rates).
What can I expect for dinner when it is included in the price?A
Dinner is normally 3 courses based on a Table D'hote menu i.e. a selection of meals of the day or an allowance towards the a la carte menu. A La Carte meals are normally available but a supplement may apply. All restaurants will offer vegetarian options but the choice may be restricted. Any special dietary requirements should be advised at time of booking.
What time is last orders in the hotel restaurant?A
Dining times vary in each hotel, it is best to check with the hotel directly before you arrive. Hotel contact details can be found on your booking confirmation.
What's included in breakfast?A
It depends on the hotel - some hotels offer full breakfast, some buffet breakfast and some continental breakfast only. Please note: When travelling with children who sleep for free, breakfast must be paid for locally at the hotel. Some hotels charge a set rate whether taken or not.
Why do I have to pay to park my car?A
It is each individual hotel's policy whether to charge for car parking. Details of charges are detailed in the hotel facilities section in the hotel information.
Can I take my dog with me?A
Some hotels only have certain rooms that they will allow pets to stay in. It is important that if you require a room to accommodate you and your four-legged friend that you call our reservations team on 01904 436 002 and quote BOUND (calls charged at standard rates) to guarantee the availability of that particular room type. Please note: this is not available in all of our hotels and can include an extra fee.
