2.30pm to 5pm, Wednesday 16 October

Join the Edinburgh and Lothian Group to experience the exhibition and a guided tour of the National Mining Museum.

A guided tour by an ex-miner of this 5 star attraction set in the restored Lady Victoria colliery in Newtongrange. Learn the story of coal from Scotland, through the exhibition and guided tour of the pithead and recreated underground. Learn of the engineering brilliance behind the machinery and retrace the footsteps and struggles of past miners and families.
