The Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells Group would like to invite you a talk by Chris Mccooey on the subject of Birds, Beasts and Bacchanalia.

The talk will present why Thomas a Becket banned nightingales, the delicacy that once were wheatears. The dog hanged at Tyburn, the big cats roaming wild today, Sussex dragons, Timothy the tortoise, Winnie-the-Pooh. Also gin distilling, drunken hop pickers, the debauchery of the future king George in Brighton, the England rugby player who drank a bottle of aftershave and Napoleon’s horse.

Come along for our Club Night and enjoy an evening with friends.
