10.30am to 2.30pm, Thursday 15 August

The York Group is inviting you to join this self-drive trip to visit Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens

Following our excellent talk in 2023 by David Lewis, about the history around the B1222 road, we are visiting two places that he talked about. Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens are organically managed, wildlife friendly gardens specialising in unusual plants. We will have the opportunity to tour the gardens on a normally closed day. Arrive by 10:30 for an introductory talk by Vanessa, the owner of the gardens.

Explore the gardens at leisure, visit the Nursery, and take the chance to buy a drink and delicious snack at the cafe, or take your own picnic to eat in the gardens. At 1:30 we will move to St. Helen's Church in the village, to hear the history of this magnificent building, before heading for home about 2:30
