More about the day

Not for the faint-hearted, these aerobatic flights will definitely put a smile on your face – even when you’re flying upside down. You’ll be enjoying this most exciting of aviation adventure days at Gloucestershire Airport, once known as Staverton, the home of the renowned Gloster Aircraft Company.

You'll be getting airborne and aerobatic in an ex-military Slingsby Firefly, a British-built two-seater training aircraft used all over the world to train military pilots, in the company of experienced ex-military or commercial flying instructors.

This introduction provides a 25-minute flight including the famous loop and roll, manoeuvres which are the basis for all aerobatic flights. If that’s not enough for you, however, this Gloucestershire-based school offers a longer flight which will really take your breath away.

What's included?

  • Introductory flights last approximately 25 minutes and include a selection of manoeuvres
  • During the flight you'll get the chance to take the controls yourself
  • After your flight you will be presented with a personalised certificate, a photograph and flight notes
