Join us for a five-night break at Whitemead Forest Park, with daily 6 to 8 mile guided walks through the beautiful Wye Valley and Forest of Dean.
Whitemead Forest Park is situated in the ancient woodlands of the Forest of Dean.
Springtime is magical here, as the brilliant green of new beech and the spectacular colours of daffodils and bluebells cast winter aside. The area is also a paradise for walkers, with some invigorating climbs leading to outstanding views of natural and historical beauty.
During the rally, we’ll be guided on 8-mile walks by official Forest of Dean and Wye Valley tour guides, who know all there is to know about the folklore, history, architecture and nature of this very special area. We’re not quite trekking in the Himalayas, but some walks do call for a level of fitness greater than that required for a stroll in the park. But don’t let that put you off – all are welcome as there will be some shorter walks for those not wanting to tackle the full 8 miles.
Whitemead Forest Park, which underwent major refurbishment in 2016, offers some great facilities, including toilets, showers and washrooms as well as fantastic on-site shop, daytime and evening restaurant, bar and social areas. Pitches are hardstanding with electric hook-ups, and access to the indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room and spa pools is included.
