Day 1

The day is dedicated to the City of Liverpool and includes entrance to Liverpool's World Museum and the stunning Terraacotta Warriors Exhibition (a fixed time slot to be allocated).

This is the first time in more than 30 years that the spectacular Class 1 National Cultural Treasures from the tomb of China's First Emperor, Qin Shihuangdi, will be shown at a museum in the UK outside of London. The Emperor's vast burial site and tomb complex was discovered near Xi'an in North West China in 1974 and the story of the tomb's Warriors will be displayed alongside important artefacts and research relating to the formative years of the Chinese nation.

The remainder of the day will be at your leisure, to explore the city centre and the Albert Dock Area where you can hit the shops, cafes or some of the famous museums, many of which have free entry, including the Tate Liverpool, The Museum of Liverpool, The Merseyside Maritime Museum and the International Slavery Museum. You may wish to visit The Beatles Story (entrance not included) or take a 'ferry across the mersey'.

After a well deserved evening meal at the hotel you may be tempted to visit the legendary 'Cavern Club' (free entry on Monday) where you can enjoy live music by the resident musicians.

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast you will be transferred by coach to the boarding point of the legendary Manchester Ship Canal on the quayside in Liverpool.

This is a truly memorable journey along a 35-mile stretch of canal. It includes a lively commentary giving revealing insight into the facts, history and dramas of one of Britain's major waterways. The cruise takes in spectacular scenery leaving it's passengers with an awe-inspiring sense of how it's construction shaped the city of Manchester and the North West of England, whilst taking in all of this fascinating history you can enjoy a packed lunch onboard. You will then be met at Salford Quays by your coach for the return transfer to Liverpool, where dinner will be waiting for you.

Day 3

After enjoying a full English breakfast, it's time to check out by 11am, however hotel parking is free until 1pm so there's still time to try and squeeze in anything you may have missed!
