Thursday 12 July to Wednesday 18 July 2018
- Social evenings
- Walking Tour
- Terracotta Army Exhibition
As those of you who have joined us before will know, Liverpool cannot be fully explored in just a day or two!
This is an opportunity to spend a pleasant few days exploring the many interesting facets of Merseyside. The site is literally a 3 minute drive from Hoylake Park and Ride station and just a 5 minute walk from Manor Road station on the Merserail electric network, offering frequent, direct trains into the heart of Liverpool City Centre. Whilst there you can enjoy it's two Cathedrals, historic iconic waterfront, museums and Merseybeat connections, as well as plenty of retail therapy.
This year there is also a Terracotta Army exhibition which shouldn't be missed, so book your tickets now! At: http://www.liverpoolmuseums.org.uk/wml/exhibitions/terracotta-warriors/index.aspx
Fancy exploring the area, then a Day Rover ticket and a single change of trains can take you to Formby and Southport, the North Wirral and Chester and Ellesmere Port, not forgetting Birkenhead waterfront and the Mersey Ferry as well, all by Merseyrail train services - so no parking problems and all trains are fully accessible for mobility scooters!
We are planning to arrange a walking tour, led by a Blue Badge Guide, of Port Sunlight Village, including the Lady Lever Art Gallery, if there is sufficient interest, and a tour of Liverpool City Centre and the Anthony Gormley statues at Crosby, titled 'Another Place', is also possible.
Although the site does not have hook-ups, the price does include 24hr access to toilets and hot showers, as well as use of the Club's hospitality room each evening and is suitable for all units and First Timers.
Being a week-long Holiday Rally, you are free to stay for as few or as many nights as you wish and no deposit is required with your booking which is best done on line. Please ring the Marshal prior to booking and for further information.
We look forward to seeing you there!
