Join us for a Tour of The Athenaeum Club Liverpool.
This is the oldest private club, founded more than 200 yrs ago in 1797.The Club has been based in Church Alley since 1927 and the building has acted as the backdrop for a number of films and T.V shows. The settings was originally created to allow business people to get the news from Fleet Street as quickly as possible, the news room is still in use today. There is also one copy of the
Magna Carta from 1282 which is hidden in the vaults in the library and is worth in excess of £250,500. The historic library looks like it's been plucked straight out of Hogwarts, visitors come from around the world to explore the treasures tucked away inside!
A delicious afternoon tea will be served after the tour.
