The Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells Group would like to invite you along to a talk with actor Jim Whelan.
Born into poverty during the second world war in the back streets of Salford, Jim’s talk takes us from 1942 to the present day. Talking about the highs and lows of life and his career, Jim has worked with such luminaries as Rod Steiger, Anthony Perkins, David Tennant, David Morrissey, Ray Winstone and more recently Samantha Bond, Francesca Annis and Ed Stoppard. Not to mention his appearance in Coronation Street in every Decade that it has existed and after more than fifty episodes, playing seven characters.
The talk is given in a humorous and entertaining manner; having been a Stand-up comic for many years, Jim can bring out the anecdotes and will happily do a question-and-answer session.
