The York Group would like to invite you on a Coach Trip to The Trolleybus Museum, Sandtoft.
Join us for a day out at the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft. We will be leaving from the York Mercure Fairfield Manor hotel and we will proceed directly to the museum.
Founded on its present site in 1969 to house, restore and run trolleybuses when they were fast disappearing from Britain’s streets, the Trolleybus Museum has grown from a handful of vehicles and now has over 50 – the largest collection of preserved trolleybuses in the world.
Attractions include two trolleybuses to ride on, the “Sunbeam” Cycle Shop Museum, the Toy and Model Museum and a 1950s “Prefab” home.
A buffet lunch and a vintage motorbus tour around the local area will be included.
On our way home we will visit Walker’s Nurseries to browse around the garden centre and gift shop, explore the gardens or perhaps have a cup of tea and a cake in the café.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
