Self Drive Trip to York Gate Gardens and Nursery.
York Gate Gardens was created by the Spencer family between 1951 and 1994. The design of 'rooms' interlinked through a series of vistas owes much to the Arts and Crafts movement and complemented by Sybil Spencer's skills as a plants woman. The garden has been granted Grade 11 National Heritage status in a list of post war gardens and landscapes for England.
Following your visit, tea or coffee and cake will be provided in the café. There is also a plant nursery which sells a wide range of plants including those propagated from plants in the garden and a gift shop selling gifts for the home and garden.
There is also ample parking available.
