Boundless are celebrating the world’s most famous aerobatic display team, the Red Arrows, with a special event in October 2021. This event was due to take place this year but has been postponed due to the current pandemic. Tickets will be available shortly so why not join the waiting list so you are first in line.
The day will start with tea and coffee at the Epic Centre, part of the Lincolnshire Showground, before we travel by coach to RAF Scampton, home of the Red Arrows.
When we arrive, we’ll be given a private tour of the hangar where the team’s Hawk jets are housed. Engineers who look after the aircraft will talk about these exciting planes and you’ll get a chance to sit in a Hawk cockpit.
Scampton played a significant role in the Second World War, and RAF volunteers will take us through the history of the base, home to the squadron which led the crucial Dam Busters raid of 1943. We’ll also visit the very rooms where the raid was planned.
After our visit, we’ll travel back to the showground, where a three-course meal with wine will be served to the sound of live music. During dinner, the RAF Benevolent Fund will also be hosting a charity auction where you could win an exclusive VIP day with the Red Arrows, which includes a private viewing of their display, sitting in on one their briefings and having lunch with the pilots.
After dinner there will be a Q&A session with three former Red Arrows pilots.
Please note that, as part of this event takes place on a fully operational UK military base, you’ll only be able to enter on our official Boundless coaches. Visitors must be UK nationals and will be signed in on arrival. Boundless will arrange your clearance before the event so, if you need to change the details of any ticket holder, you must inform us at least seven days before the event.
Due to the size of the hangars, organising access to the Heritage Centre and to provide you with a better overall experience, we’ll be splitting you into groups when you arrive. These groups will be pre-organised and you’ll be given your group number and information about your schedule for the day by email 10 days ahead of the event. If you’d like to be in the same group as another ticket holder, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Tickets will be available in Autumn 2020, in the meantime why not join our waiting list so you first in line for tickets to this exclusive event.
All our events have an official Boundless photographer on site to capture the best moments for you, your family and friends. All photos will be available for you to download free of charge after the event.
If you upload any of your own pictures to social media, please use the hashtag #bemoreboundless for a chance to be featured on our social pages. By purchasing tickets, you are consenting to having your photo taken and these images used on any of our marketing platforms. Please let us know on arrival if you do not wish to have your photo taken or appear on our website or social pages.
We’re proud to announce that proceeds from this event will go to the RAF Benevolent Fund, which helps the RAF family – those who are currently serving, veterans and their dependants.
What is your position with the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak?A
Boundless have been continually monitoring the latest public health and government guidelines regarding the evolving COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation and acting in accordance with their advice.
This event has now been postponed until October 2021. If you purchased tickets for the 2020 events you will have now received email notification of this and a full refund back to the card you paid on.
We are currently organising the 2021 event date with the RAF Benevolent fund and the Red Arrows. If you join our waiting list, you will get the option to purchase tickets before we other members. If you purchased tickets you will be automatically added to the waiting list.
How can I get there?A
We’ll meet at the Epic Centre at the Lincolnshire Showground by 1pm (postcode LN2 2NA).
There is plenty of free parking immediately outside the Epic Centre. We’ll board coaches at the Centre to take us to RAF Scampton, which is about 10 minutes’ drive. Only Boundless coaches will be allowed to enter the military base.
What are the meal options? What if I have any dietary requirements?A
We’ll ask you to choose your courses when you book tickets. You can also tell us of any special dietary requirements you may have. Please note that meal choices can’t be changed on the night.
What refreshments will I get with my ticket?A
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available all day until 7pm.
Dinner will be served at 7.30pm and red and white wine will be available during your meal – sparkling and still water will also be served. Should you wish to buy additional drinks, the venue will be operating a cash bar.
Are there any age restrictions?A
All ticket holders must be aged 16 or over.
What’s the dress code?A
This is a primarily a dinner event. However you will be walking around a working airbase and spending time in unheated hangars, so we advise you to dress comfortably, wear practical shoes and have lots of layers.
I have a friend or family member who wants to come as well.A
Great, bring them along! They can have full use of the members’ area as long as you’re with them.
How and when will I get my tickets?A
Until we have confirmed the date you cannot currently purchase tickets. If you wish to attend this event please join the waiting list and you will let you know when tickets go live.
When you do buy your tickets you’ll get a confirmation email with an e-ticket attached. Either print this e-ticket out or show it on your phone on the day – the Boundless reception area will be clearly signposted. You’ll get another email 10 days before the event with more detailed information.
What time does this event start and end?A
The evening will run from 1pm to 10pm (TBC) in October 2021. Boundless are currently working with the venue, RAF Benevolent Fund and Red Arrows to organise a new date.
What is your refund policy?A
Tickets are non-refundable. This is because we have a very limited number of tickets and we may not be able to reallocate them. Tickets may be transferred to your friends or family but please email email@example.com to let us know of any changes.
As RAF Scampton is a working UK military base, all attendees must be UK nationals and will be signed in on arrival. Boundless will arrange your clearance before the event so, if you need to change the details of any ticket holder, you must inform us at least seven days before the event.
We are aware that the current situation with COVID-19 has led to the 2020 event being postponed. All ticket holders to the 2020 event have now been refunded back onto the card they paid with. All members who purchased tickets will have received an email with more information.
How accessible is the site for people with mobility difficulties?A
The Epic Centre at Lincolnshire Showground is a fully accessible, wheelchair-friendly site.
There will be coaches running from the venue to RAF Scampton throughout the day. Coaches will have limited accessibility.
RAF Scampton unfortunately has limited accessibility, particularly for those that have difficulty with stairs, so some aspects of this part of the day may be inaccessible. If you have concerns, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with more information and we will see how we can help.
I don’t have an email address or credit card. Can I pay by cheque?A
Tickets are not yet available for this event so you cannot purchase by cheque. The option to pay by cheque will be available when tickets are available.
What is the RAF Benevolent Fund and how is this event supporting it?A
All our member events are not for profit and, as an association made up of current and previous members of the public services, Boundless wanted to support the RAF Benelovent Fund. The fund ensures that donations are spent directly on meeting the needs of the RAF family – those serving, veterans and their dependants. This support is the bedrock of the RAF Benevolent Fund. From childcare and relationship difficulties to injury and disability, and from financial hardship and debt to illness and bereavement, the fund helps any member of the RAF family in need of support.
Boundless aim to raise £5000 to support the fund, which will be made up from a 5 per cent contribution from ticket fees, contributions from the speakers, fundraising at the event and a donation from the Boundless Foundation.
