A guided tour to discover the Abbey’s fascinating 900-year history, during which it has welcomed royalty since 1140 and has links to Mary Queen of Scots, the Declaration of Arbroath and the Spanish Armada.
Highlights of the tour besides its beautiful interiors, include the Chapel, Crypt, Library and grand Drawing Room. Weather permitting, you can also explore the Abbey’s 125 acres of parkland, including the Italian Garden and Lord Ancrum’s Wood.
For those who wish, afternoon tea or tea/coffee and biscuits will be available afterwards in the Drawing Room.
